Disabling Touch Pad

How do you disable the clicking portion on a touch pad of a Compaq EvoN610c laptop

it should be under pointing devices properties. probably under the advance tab. -

I know for a fact that for Compaq Evo, you can do it in the BIOS, or use the Synaptic Driver Management (if you have it installed).

Check if there is a TouchPad application running in the system try. If so, disable it to prevent using the TouchPad.
