msconfig question

I hate useless stuff.
I have some program choices under the startup tab of msconfig that have been there for some time and it's really annoying. These are programs that were deleted.
How can I get them off the list?
I checked their registry location, and there are no references to them.

You mean they have no corresponding entry in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run?All things are possible, only believe. -
