Diskpart Utility Question
Hi,
Recently setup a Windows 2003 Server and was doing some configuration using diskpart.
I noticed something I was curious about.
there are 3 volumes listed
Volume 0 is the D drive which is a raid 5 partition
Volume 1 is the E drive which is the DVD/CDROM
Volume 2 is the C drive which is raid 1+0 and is the OS.
Is it a bit strange or does it matter that the C and D drives are not sequentially listed as in:
Volume 0= C drive
Volume1= D drive
Volume2= E drive
I have seen it this way on Servers. However, according to Microsoft the volume numbers could change each time you open up diskpart. The way this whole thing started is during the OS install for some reason the DVD/CDROM was given letter D and the two disk partitions were assigned C and E respectively. I wanted to change it so DVD/CDROM was the E drive and the two partitions were C and D.
Anyway, this is probably no big deal but I got curious if something might be weird.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.
