One quiestion in IP Sourcegaurd

Sorry guys for this stupid question because I don't have access to layer 3 switch I don't know what will happen. I know what the use of IP source guard feature, I want to know when configuring IP SG does it check only the bind ip addresses and permit the ip traffic from the end devices? for example a range of fastethernet 1 - 15 that recieves auto ip address from dhcp server are configured and monitored by ip dhcp snooping ( save in ip dhcp binding DB and configure ACL) and ip SG.
