Simple Frame-Relay configuration help needed

I'm a little confused - I need to set up a Frame-Relay network with two routers, each connected to one host. The FR cloud sits between the routers, and I'm to configure an LMI-type, map the DLCI-IP, and configure static/default routes. Router 1 and 2 are on the same network. Do I diable split horizon and use subinterfaces, or is it necessary to get this scenario working? Also, if I *do* use sub-interfaces, I would need to be given two IP addresses for each router, wouldn't I? This would also be a bit confusing when trying to setup a default route. Frame-Relay is turning out to be more challenging that I initially estimated.

Netstudent Member Posts: 1,693 ■■■□□□□□□□You would probably be creating static routes to get to the ethernet network of the opposite router. YOu can do subinterfaces or physical interfaces. Split-horizon is disabled by default on a frame-relay physical interface, but it is enabled on sub-interfaces. If you are going to be using static routes then you don;t need to worry about split-horizon.There is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1!

if youre connecting them back-to-back without a frame switch there's additional work to do.
Are your PVC's up?
If you're using point-to-point sub interfaces, there is no need to disable split horizion.
If you're using multioint interfaces, you only need to disable split horizion when using EIGRP, it is disable automatically for RIP on multipoint interfaces.The only easy day was yesterday! -

I'm using an AdTran. Using point-to-point as far as I know, as he hasn't specified multipoint. He said it would be a simple FR configuration. (Simple for a CCNP, in any event).
