Hi friends,
I am unable to set ip address of my computer which has peer to peer connection with other computer in my home using command line interface. I know how to set it using networking wizard and control field option, but I just want to know if there is any command in windows through which we can assign ip address to machine? icon_cry.gif

The command is ipconfig. Type ipconfig /? for a complete list of all the switches to this command, and how to use them.

It isn't possible to configure (as in assign a static...) an IP address using ipconfig...

I don't know of any command/util that allows you to do this. You may be able to create something workable using a scripting language...
