Backup Exec install error

wI want to upgrade from Veritas 10 to Backup Exec 11d but when i run the Enviromental check it picks up the sql database as being old and requires upgrading to 200 SP3a or above, but the sql database it is refering to is the Anti Virus database that is already 2000SP3a? If i run the installation it stops saying that it has found an old instance of sql which requires upgrading? Its sooo annoying. Not being SQL savvy can anyone suggest a workaround for me?? I dont really want to install from fresh on another server if i can help it.
