Greetings all!

I just wanted to finally post after lurking for quite some time. :)

I am currently studying for the ICND1, which I hope to take in the very near future. I thought about doing the one-and-done method, but I am a firm believer in breaking a job down into smaller parts. Not to mention, the ICND2 stuff seems like it can wait until I get some hardware. The sims I've been using all have their issues. Boson seems to be fairly decent, though.

Anyway, just wanted to tell you guys I love reading the info on this board. It will most definitely help as I try to navigate this Cisco path of certification goodness.

I am reading the Sybex 640-801 for most of the INTRO stuff until the newer literature is out. I also bought that Chris Bryant package, but kind of wish I would have just bought a router with that $$$ :D He does have some good stuff, though.

Nice meeting you all.

    Welcome aboard!

    Taking the exam in 2 parts is good.

    Also, remember that 640-801 retires in November.

    This forum offers full meals and desert. For desert, please try the tehc notes including some CCNA labs :)

    Good luck Jezg. I told people around me (gfriend + family etc) that I'm bailing out for a while and not to disturb me. you've got to focus hard.

    There is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1!

    Yes, good luck and let us know if we can help. However, stay away from the lunch it might be rubber chicken! :)
    I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.
