I just wanted to finally post after lurking for quite some time.
I am currently studying for the ICND1, which I hope to take in the very near future. I thought about doing the one-and-done method, but I am a firm believer in breaking a job down into smaller parts. Not to mention, the ICND2 stuff seems like it can wait until I get some hardware. The sims I've been using all have their issues. Boson seems to be fairly decent, though.
Anyway, just wanted to tell you guys I love reading the info on this board. It will most definitely help as I try to navigate this Cisco path of certification goodness.
I am reading the Sybex 640-801 for most of the INTRO stuff until the newer literature is out. I also bought that Chris Bryant package, but kind of wish I would have just bought a router with that $$$ He does have some good stuff, though.
Nice meeting you all.

Taking the exam in 2 parts is good.
Also, remember that 640-801 retires in November.

indeed! good luckThere is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1! -
ITdude Member Posts: 1,181 ■■■□□□□□□□Yes, good luck and let us know if we can help. However, stay away from the lunch it might be rubber chicken!I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.
