Connecting to a Cisco router

Ok I feel really dumb even asking this but I can't seem to find a clear answer.
I have a Cisco 2611 beside me here. How do I connect to it?
The console port is an RJ45 jack. As I understand, I need a roll over cable.
Now, can I plug that Rollover cable into my NIC and use TCP/IP port in Hyper Terminal? Or do I need a Rollover-to-serial adapter and go through a COM port. If so, where the best place to get that, ebay?
Thanks for the reply and sorry for the lame question.

After that open hyperterminal and use

you can use a db9 to a USB adapter.
and also when you assign an ip address to your router and put your PC on the same subnet with the router and telnet into the router to configure it. In order for you to configure the router via telnet you have to set console and VTY passwords
