passing score

I am confused regarding the passing score for 70-270 exam. I know it's 700, but, is it out of 1000 or 900?. The passing score for the Network+ exam was 554 out of 900 so i wonder if its the same for this exam as well, but i have seen people stating that they've scored in the range of 900's

They say you need a passing score of 700 but nobody has mentioned the "out of" part.
