OU and non-OU containers, HELP!

i am confused with OU and non-OU containers. how are they different?
i notice the computer OU icon and Domain Controller OU Icon in active directory users and computers are different. someone please explain.
i tried really hard to pass 70-290 test.

The difference between these two types of containers is that OU's can have Group Policy Objects (GPO's) linked to them while the normal containers such as the computers container can not have GPO's linked to them.
