What is the difference between these two book?

I intend to start studying for the CCNa in some time and I found these two books in which I am interested.

So I would like to know what the difference is between these two books and which one would you recommend?

    the first link CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate Study Guide, 5th Edition (640-801) will cover topics over the whole CCNA exam. This would be usefull if your taking the the single exam approach

    The second link CCNA INTRO: Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies Study Guide: Exam 640-821. Will cover topics only in the 640-821 exam, which is the two step process to getting a CCNA.

    which one you get will depend on if your going the single exam or two exam approach to the CCNA. I went the single exam, and while it is probably more difficult just because of the amount of information you have to remember, i just think its better to sit one test rather than two.

    Right. So thats what they meant by INTRO. So where is the ICND book?

    You do know that the tests are changing in 2 months right? So you may want to buy the books for the new tests. From what I have heard, you might be able to pass the new tests with the old books. Theres no telling how much the question pool will change for 640-802 between now and then so it might be safer to buy the new books.

    Changing? Cooool. I hope the test is easier. How long will it take for the new boooks to roll out?

    The new books are out. I highly doubt the new test will be any easier. If anything maybe a little harder with a few more topics thrown in there. There is at least one person here who has taken the new exam if you read through the forum.
