Security+ Score System

"The minimum passing score is 764, graded on a scale of 100 - 900."

Will someone please explain how Comptia comes up with the grade system for this test.

The best theories I have heard so far are a phsycic or a ouija board.

Seriously though, the Comptia exams are supposed to be psycometrically (sp) designed. From past experience in many different fields I personally believe that to use those theories is totally invalid. The failed adaptive testing was another such experiment based on that style of reasoning.
