in CCNA & CCENT
Hi,
I bought a home CCNA lab from Ciscokits (2 routers 2503 and 1 switch 1912).
Both routers come with IOS version 11.
They were also a CD with an IOS version 12.3.19.
But when I try to update The IOS, I got a couples of error message.
I find a special procedure for the 2500 cisco router in cisco website but it still has problem.
I don't know if it's the ciscokits routers faulty, cause it doesn't seem to be in good condition.
I try to copy the IOS from serveral TFTP server....
Thanks in advance for you help.
Here is one of the erro message:

dtlokee Member Posts: 2,378 ■■■■□□□□□□hmm, I would guess the flash may be defective. Generally when it begins to erase the flash but then fails I have found there to be a problem with the flash memory. You might want to re-seat it but I would guess the flash module may not be for a 2500.The only easy day was yesterday!

What do you mean by "re seat it".
I sent a mail to ciscokits for further informations but up ton now, no answers from them.
How disappointing !!! I spend money for this Labs and I can not do someting with ? -

Since the flash is already empty -- you could try answering No to the erase question. If it starts to copy and then fails, you'd still want to try reseating the memory before you replace the Flash. If you can copy a smaller IOS image file without error, but get an error on larger files -- then it would seem like you had bad flash.
What output do you get from a show version command? Could be an old Bios with a 3rd party memory upgrade issue....:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -
