VLAN trunking on 2950 switch

I know that some 2950s have the two additional ports at the end for Gigabit, while some 2950s don't. Basically my question is, if I were to buy two 24-port 2950 switches that only have the 24 ports between them and neither have those two additional Gigabit ports on the corner, can I still do VLAN trunking between them?
