Transcender bought for $10 Million...

Kaplan, the guy who owns Self Test, just bought Transcender for 10 mil.
Since both companies were always considered as 1st and 2nd, does anybody here think that Transcender might loose it's quality once they've given in?
Although both product lines will remain intact, that doesn't leave out the influence of the top guys. We all know it's the white-collar folks who're responsible for every good or bad. Could Self Test's big shots overseaing operations at Transcender mean well or ill?
And finally, could all this mean a step towards constructing a better and bigger anti-braindump body?
