ITIL certification?

Hi all,

I've just been tasked to complete ITIL training as a requirement for my job but wasn't given much guidance other than, "Oh by the way, you need to get you ITIL certification before we'll pay for your CCNA."

I was just told this and so wanted to ask if anyone had any good resources before I go poking around the net.

I was under the impression the ITIL exam couldn't even be taken in the US yet, and that it was only offered in the UK.

ITIL Exams are offered in the US by Exin, you can visit their website at www.exin-exams.com

Additionally, you can register for ITIL Foundation through Prometric.

I did a 3 day course, then sat the exam. It is a frame work that is becoming more and more popular.
It is pretty boring content though.

Think it might have been superceeded now but thats what I used to pass.

We had a 5 day course at my work and oh my god it was the most boring class I had ever took. But something must have burned into my brain because I did pass the test with 85%. Our co-workers compared scores and I was one of the higher ones. I think 70% is passing. I did use the transcenders to study text questions. Other than that I think CBT Nuggets or Testout has a ITILF CBT.

Its not that hard, and a pass is only a 70% .. basic .. but I also worked in an eviroment that did change management stuff..

65% is the pass mark for Foundation v2.0 and for any ITIL Practitioner v2.0. 50% on two exams is the pass mark for v2.0 Manager. Here's a link to the ITIL v2.0 qualifications:

I wouldn't spend a lot of money on practice material for Foundation. There are plenty of free questions available on the net in various ITIL Forums ("free" as in not a violation of copyright to use them as a preparation tool). Also, your trainer should provide you with adaquate preparation materials, including the practice exams included with the course material.

The global pass rate for Foundation is around 85%...Exin, one of the providers of ITIL Certification exams, publishes their pass rates. Foundation pass rates are available at:
