Hi all,
What can you guys advise me to setup a lab for my MCSA training? My wish would be to build up a lab with one computer and something like VMWare to virtualize servers and clients.
Is the free version (server) useful for that? Does VMWare simulate a LAN too?
Any other ideas/suggestions?
Thanx a lot for your replies

Revenue Member Posts: 130I use Microsoft Virtual PC, Its free, easy to use and so far haven't had any problems
Can easily set up a server and few clients and play round with them all using Lab exercises. Runs well on vista x64.
You can get it from the link below if your interested

Is it possible to simulate a LAN between the the virtualized equipments? -
Revenue Member Posts: 130Yes it is, You can also add your virtual client or server to any existing LAN you may have or just have the clients and servers talking locally between themselves. This is all set up on the settings/networking window by changing between what networking adapters you want to use
Have fun :P good luck
