I am scheduled to take my 640-801 tomorrow. I feel pretty ready but I can't find an answer to this question.
Switch B is a Catalyst 2924 switch you're configuring to support VLAN trunking. Switch B is both ISL and 802.1q capable. Switch A is encapsulating 802.1Q. You want Switch B's port to be in trunk mode regardless of the port configured on Switch A. Which two commands should you use to configure the trunk port on Switch B? (Choose two).
1. switchport mode auto
2. switchport mode trunk
3. switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
4. switchport trunk encapsulation 802.1q
5. switchport trunk encapsulation isl
I chose answers 2 and 4, but the correct answers are 2 and 3. If one side is encapsulating 802.1Q why would you choose a different encapsulation method for the other side?
Could this be an error in the TestOut application or am I wrong. If I am wrong can someone explain this to me. Thanks, and wish me luck tomorrow.
