Hello
I am currently doing CCNA academy program and just passed the second semester and still two more to go.
I have a question that has been bothering me for a while. Is it CCNA academy program is just a program that prepares you to seat for the actual Cisco CCNA exam?
CCNA academy program is really great and it is not easy at all. I have learnt quite a lot of things from this program and especially from my Cisco instructor and people from this site. Around 6 months ago I don't even know how to connect a cable between two PCs let alone the router or switch.
Thank you for your input.

They do cover most all of the topics in the 4 semesters but you really need to know your stuff to pass this test. Even after taking the classes and having hands on experience I learned a lot of things by sitting down and reading on my own. There are a lot of little things you have to know to pass the test you may not learn in class. Cover the material as thouroughly as possible multiple times and do the labs in class until you understand them without a shadow of a doubt.

Unfortunately, my instructor totally slacked off semesters 3 and 4, and even with additional preparation I failed the ICND the first time. I killed it the second time around. But if you plan on taking the single CCNA test, make sure you don't forget the first 2 semesters of material. Semester 1 should be second nature if you're already in the IT field.
