I have been using the vmware for a few weeks already and very happy with it. But 1 thing I felt annoying is the system beep sound whenever an error message box comes out, it is very loud and I get a shock every time it pops out icon_eek.gif . (Disconnecting the audio in the vm wouldnt help.) I dont want a heart attack medical cert as the bonus in the path to MCP. Then I found out a way from MS site on how to disable the sound in vm.
(do this in vm)
To stop a virtual machine from generating a beep sound when an operating system event occurs, follow these steps:1. On the virtual machine, click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Locate, and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Beep
3. In the right pane, right-click Start, and then click Modify.
4. In the Value data box, type 4 to turn off the beep sound, and then click OK.
5. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the virtual machine.

Hope this is useful.
