Is Comptia currently working on a new version of the Security+ exam?

Is there a release date yet?

Current version for 2002:
CompTIA Security+ 2002 Exam: SY0-101

I want to use this as an elective for my MCSE 2000/2003.

The Network+ and A+ only applies to the MCSA correct?

Thanks.

The one I took said "2007 test objectives" in parenthesis next to Security+
"Check both the destination and return path when a route fails." "Switches create a network. Routers connect networks."

Unless you choose MCSA: Security. Then you can use your security+

That is correct. You can use A+ & Network+. and Security + for MCSA and Security+ for MCSE.

As to the other question. My test today said CompTIA Security+ (2007 Edition) Exam. It is still listed as the same exam though its just a yearly update, so the exam is still SY0-101.
"The secrecy of my job prevents me from knowing just what it is that I do."

    Next stop 70-291, 70-648, 70-646

Comptia e-mailed this to me this morning
    Certification Update

CompTIA has just conducted a job task analysis (JTA) of the CompTIA Security+ exam as part of the development of a revised exam for late 2008. The next stage in exam development is a survey of security professionals. The purpose of the survey is to statistically validate and confirm the content for the revised CompTIA Security+ (2008 Edition) Exam Objectives developed during the recent JTA workshop.
