Im sure this has been asked a bunch, but what equipment would you recommend to practice? This equipment would serve 2 fold, to refresh CCNA material and to progress into CCNP material eventually.

would 2950's be relevant for this?
what type of routers would be recommended?

would a layer3 switch be out of my price range?

2950s will be fine, 2620 or better is prefered but you can use 2500's and other 2600's.

a layer three switch may be out of your price range if unless your price range is around $1 grand or better.
