Self study

What are my chances of being accepted to do the exam whit the following:

1yr Network admin experience
Destinction in computer forensics in my BSC IT

I have contacted EC but till now no response. I basicly want to know if i should buy the self study kit.

    network+ should be a easy grab for you, might as well get it to beef up your qualifications

    this would probably be best answered by keatron, i know we have a few other CEH's on here as well...

    I'd def like to pick this up after my CCNP and MCSA :D

    Depends mostly on how much experience you have. Understand that getting the CEH certification and actually becoming skilled at "penetration testing" are two different things. CEH is an introduction to penetration testing (although a very detailed and complex introduction). So, honestly, someone without actual experience in security (IDS log analysis, firewall administration, etc), it might be kinda hard, especially with the newer version 5 of the exam. It's much more accurate and relevant than previous versions, but it's also more difficult.

    anyone know offhand how much the online class at new horizons would cost for the ceh?
