in CCNA & CCENT
Hello all,
I am currently in the Cisco Net Academy, approaching the halfway point to my CCNA in one month.
As most of you know, we still have access to the older tests (640-821, 640-801,etc).
I plan on going with the 2-test option.
Do you guys recommend I take the older set of tests, or the newer set?
Also, if I take the newer 640-822 ICND1, I will have a CCENT. If I take the 640-821 INTRO and pass, I will not have any certification, correct?
I would appreciate any advice you guys may have.
Thanks.

If you have the training for the new exams I would go that way.
They are more relevant to technology today.
If not and you feel more comfortable with the older exam go with that.
Also remember that if you pass the old intro exam it still counts and you would just have to pass the ICND 2 to get the CCNA.
Good luck in which ever way you go!A+, MCP(270,290), CCNA 2008.
Working back on my CCNA and then possibly CCNP. -

You should be pretty good on the older material, but it wouldn't hurt to learn the new material since it will be covered in more depth if you move on to other Cisco certifications. An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
