SQL Server 2008 - 64-Bit only?

I’m currently planning Infrastructure upgrades and and improvements for the next few years and part of that is related to our SQL servers.

I’ve found this post on the Technet: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506(sql.100).aspx which suggests that SQL Server 2008 will be available in both 32 and 64 bit versions. I want to trust Microsoft’s word but there was some uncertainty surrounding Exchange 2007 before it was released!

Does anyone have more information on this?

Kind Regards,

Luke

I think I heard they are offering both 32 and 64 bit versions. If they were doing only x64 they would have announced it by now I would hope
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...

I sure hope they do it in both platforms or some customers are looking at a pretty big upgrade path.
