Help with a 2509 Access server

Hi All,
I am trying to update the IOS on my access server and have not been having any luck. I only have a console cable and wanted to know if it was possible to do it this way similar to using the XMODEM command. I have tried and failed. seems that due to the age of the current IOS none of the commands are supported.
here is a sh ver from the router:

Maybe this well help. This is by way of tftp. "Copying t flash memory"

This is by way of xmodem and yes you should be able to use xmodem through the console port.

Although it should be the same as it is now.The only easy day was yesterday!
