mikej412 Member Posts: 10,086 ■■■■■■■■■■hey! Even though you mentioned the Academy, I saw CCNA1 and was thinking ICND1
Everyone that was in my CCNA 1 class made it to the end -- but more than 1/2 didn't continue on with CCNA 2. TCP/IP was in CCNA 1 (when I did it -- the 3.1 Courseware) and almost repeated verbatim again in CCNA 2. Subnetting is the "Killer Skill" for CCNA 1. You must learn subnetting to have a future in networking.
ACLs were tossed in at the end of CCNA 2 -- and while it seemed out of place, it's the another basic skill that you will use throughout the rest of the CCNA courses (and CCNP, etc).
