Hi,
I'm really struggling to get my head around when to use a stub zone over a delectation, etc.. Does anyone know of a good article on the web which explains this clearly?

The problem with delegations is that they must be updated manually while stub zones contain SOA records that allow them to detect when there are changes, so they can update automatically. I'm not sure if that's an oversimplification or not.

You'd only really use a regular delegation if you want more control over what DNS servers are being hit on the target zone.“For success, attitude is equally as important as ability.” - Harry F. Banks
