I'm a Cisco neophyte, and I was a bit unclear as to what all my options were regarding WIC and NM cards. I came across this link while searching around google: http://www.kmj.com/cisco/c2600.html
While it does focus on the 26xx series routers, the WIC and NM information is applicable to any device that can use them. It starts about halfway down the page, and there is a lot of other good information there if you own 26xx gear (albeit the 12.0 IOS information is dated).
