Inconsistency in study material
I know there is probably another thread with this same topic but I just don't have time to traul through them all.
I have been using several different methods of study Train Signal, CBT Nuggets, Testout, Technotes and Google. The problem I have encountered is that some of the information is very inconsistant.
On example is the max length of a 1000BaseLX fibre cable. All sources agree that the max length for the multimode cable is 500-550 meters. However the singlemode cable varies from 5 kilometers to 10 km!!
Can anyone clear this up for me?? There are more examples but this will do for now.

I understood it to be 10k if I remember correctly. If I could make a suggestion- stop using Google. The Internet isn't well known for being reliable in many cases, IMO. Find a good textbook and use that.Fear is the absence of Faith. -

I only use Google if I get conflicting information from books and CBT.
