Remove unknow program

KasorKasor Member Posts: 933 ■■■■□□□□□□
One of the client workstation full with small program that showed up at the "Add & Remove Software." However, there is not function to remove them. Any idea?
For example: SkinsHP1 - not making any sense as program.

Anyone can tell me how to remove them. Mostly like that I have to get to play round the Wndows Regedit.

Thanks

Well, the HP was simply a guess that it's an HP program.

Google seems to think so too:

    (check out the second link)

I'd try uninstalling your HP stuff...guessing you have that. However, if you are not familiar with the Registry, then I wouldn't recommend you start digging in there.

Is this program causing a problem that it needs to be removed? How was it determined that it has to be uninstalled? Just curious??

    'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird?

See if there is an install folder with an uninstall application. Sometimes it isn't an option in add/remove programs but if you navigate to the folder where the app was installed it may have an uinstall.

Hijackthis has the ability to edit or remove entries in the Add/Remove programs, if you can figure it out.

CCleaner can also run program uninstallers and delete Add/Remove Programs entries as well.
