how to include unrelated experience
MQuinn6
Hi, all!
I have some unrelated experience that I'm trying to figure out how/where to list on my resume. The problem is I have unrelated experience from back in the late 90's. I then worked in IT for about a year. Then I have another few years of unrelated experience. (I did earn my CCNA in the meantime!) And now I'm back in an IT position.
Would it be best to list it chronologically all together or in two separate sections: related experience & unrelated experience?
TIA!

I'm assuming he means non-IT work. I'd create a single chronological list.

Resumes.... list non-technical experience? yes or no

If you don't have enough IT background, then it is a good idea to put in non-IT related experience.
hobby and other is all optional, but I will avoid to write them down on the resume.
