simple question, what's the difference between a EMI 3550 and a 3550 SMI with a EMI image.
is it just that one the first was born a EMI and the second has had the IOS version changed?
cheers guys and girls

I think a show version will identify the switch as an original EMI or SMI:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -

The 3560 has a few new featurs over the 3550, IPv6, Private VLANS, and the QoS Scheme is different using SRR instead of WRR. Then there's some annoying things like not being able to attach a policy map outbound on an interface, grr.The only easy day was yesterday! -

Minor point for a lab though. Bit more of a problem with customer contracts though when you find you can't tier to a level that was sold to the customer.
