hey i've been doing a bit of reading on isis
in CCIE routing tcp/ip v1
it gives the command ' show clns is-neighbor'
and in this BSCI study guide it's got the command ' show clns neighbor'
is there a difference between the two?

The output is slightly different. Show clns neighbor shows the protocol used (IS-IS) and the SNPA, while show clns is-neighbors shows the circut id (other differences, but those are the only ones off the top of my head). Slight differences really, but either will show you your neighbor.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
