Well, working on computers daily, that is. There's this one guy and his family that I do some computer work for frequently.

I live at a condo in the Daytona beach area and we get a lot of people coming and going here. Some live here like myself. My neighbor comes by every few months, but he's a secretive guy and I didn't know much about him until this past weekend. I found out that he was a famous movie producer for films like National treasure, Rush hour, Ratatouille, some James bonds, the new Rambo and Indiana jones along with a ton of other movies. He's a billionare with several mansions in LA, a few of which were burned down due to recent fires though. He always has body guards except when he slips away to Daytona to relax.

I was skeptical about the whole thing honestly. He spent a few hours showing me all the pictures he took of himself standing next to famous celebrities from hollywood. Even a few of him with the Bush family.

Since I'm always nice to them, they gave me some expensive wallet and my mother received some 48K diamond earrings. o_O
I think I've hit a jackpot here.

He came by last year with Nicholas cage and I guess they greeted me while I was at a wifi hotspot in the hotel lobby, but I didn't give any kind of reaction. I was pretty concentrated on the screen at the time and and didn't realize who his friend was. Maybe I hurt Cage's feelings? icon_lol.gif

Interesting weekend, to say the least. I know the mans name, but apparently he uses another name for business so I can't really confirm his identity. He could be a fake, I dunno.

He introduced me to a Lawyer friend of his that also owns a place here. The guy travels between Daytona and London frequently, and I repaired his laptop over the weekend. They payed me for my services(though I offered to do it for free), but his family is now inviting me to come overseas sometime and stay at a mansion they own.

It's surprising the type of people you meet just doing computer repair. :)
Being a nice guy pays off.

Yeah, you never know who you might meet in this business. I've worked on computers for Generals, millionaires, and other interesting characters. I did work for one guy who I thought was just a nerd (not the computer type, but the wimpy type). Turns out he dealt in pornography and weapons. I quickly became "unavailable" once I found out what he did "on the side".

I also had to assist once when the VP of the US (Gore at that time) came to a local high school to give a talk. I think I counted a dozen black suits with sunglasses (Secret Service) and about 15 other aides of one type or another. No telling how many I didn't see. It took all these guys about 2-3 days of recon and setting up for the VP to come for a couple hours and basically give a 30 minute speech. Then they were gone - poof!
All things are possible, only believe.

Yeah, those are always fun. Everytime a big politician comes through town, they have to shut down roads while a hundred police vehicles pass through. icon_confused.gif

You meet interesting and famous people as well as discover bizarre things in their computers! Especially laptops! You find ungodly things in the laptops of men of God! Things like games and some weired stuff that you think some of the big shots cannot get involved are actually their favorites.
Don't be surprised to meet a president online playing counterstrike :D or find "tom & jerry" in the computer of someone who says he hates cartoons!
