Please point me to the right direction

I am looking to take my A+ cert in the near future
I understand that I need to take two parts. What two parts should I take? Is exam, 601 the A+ essentials? If so, I will need to take 601 along with one of the other three parts right?
Where do I go to take these exams? Can I find a place locally near and pay the fee and take the exam? What do I need to do to schedule for an exam? Thank you

I believe 602 is the most common choice for the second exam, but take what interests you and/or you see yourself working with.
You should be able to register, pay, find locations, etc. through
