I used the Sybex study cd & book:
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780470038215&itm=5
I also used this sites tests, and The following:
http://www.mcmcse.com/comptia/security/SY0101.shtml
I can tell you that you need to know the info on encryption/cryptography. Know PGP, kerberos, symmetric and asymmetric algorithms, keys (public, private), sha1 md5, DES, 3DES, AES, diffie-Hellman, etc...
Know ipsec, VPN stuff... PPTP, L2TP ... etc...
Know your port numbers and the services associated with them.
Know viruses and what each type can do, polymorphic, stealth, armored, logic bombs, etc...
Know DAC, MAC, RBAC, etc...
Know attacks, dos, ddos, port scanning, buffer overflows, blah blah blah...
Know working knowledge of NAT, proxy servers, firewalls.
Differences between packet filtering firewalls & other types.
laters,
Chris

Yes, I will be taking the MS 70-290. I don't have very much experience with 03 server system but I'm going to give it a go... I have the MS press MCSE/MCSA training kit. Its a lot of info to soak in.
Any suggestions/ recommendations?
Thanks,
Chris
