keyboard shortcuts

I have a dell laptop with xp pro that somehow has some keyboard shortcuts assigned.


When I press the 8 it enters 78901234
And when I press the i it enters something like wertyui


I have looked all through the accessibility options and can't find anything. Any help would be awesome.

    Is it anytime you type it? Like in a form or in this forum? Or just in MS Word? If it is just in word you would correct it in the AutoCorrect options under tools.

    Its any time I type with the pc even at the log in screen

    Try hooking up a usb keyboard and see if the problem persists. Your laptop keyboard might be dirty or on its way out. Maybe blow some compressed around between the keys.
