Viewing Printer Objects

My printer was shared and published to Active Directory on the Windows 2003 Server machine it was shared from(I checked the option "List in Directory")
Why is there no printer object to view in the Active Directory Users and Computers Snap-In?
I can search for the printer in AD on a client computer and connect to it so I know the printer is published.
My question pertains to Active Directory User and Computers Snap-in and why it doesn't create a printer object. I want to change properties of the object and add description to the object and be able to manage the object.
Is there an industry standard way of creating printer object in the ADUC Snap-IN for easy management?
