hi all,
for anyone that may know the answer to these 2 questions...

1. is there any CDP involved when the access point is trying to associate with the Wireless LAN Controller? at the layer 2 level...any step in the sequence with CDP.
i don't think so as CDP has nothing to do with LwAPP, but who knows with the cisco solution

2. at the search using LWAPP Layer 2 mode, if there is no response from the controller. What happens? does it keep transmitting and searching in Layer 2 mode, or move to Layer 3 mode?

scratch this request. found it.

there is no cdp involved.
and if the layer 2 lwapp is unsuccessful, it moves on to try layer 3, and if that is unsuccessful, the AP resets and tries again.
