Utility to check memory manufacturer and specs

Is there a free Windows utility to check the RAM manufacturer on your PC?

Ideally I need something to display the memory type(DDR PC-1600 vs. DDR2 PC2-5300)
and also the memory manufacturer and model number.

Any suggestions?

Try Crucial's site. You can either scan your system, or go through and pick the model number and manufacturer of your motherboard or pre-built system, and it'll tell you everything you need to know about your memory. (Probably not who the manufacturer is, but that's not as important as the specs, themselves.)
