Alright. Let me get this straight:
Sysprep restarts my machine and I perform a "mini-setup," I answer all of the questions, unless an answer file was created, and then it reboots again back to normal.
MS says to use a third-party disk immaging util like Ghost. But what do I tell Ghost to create an .iso of? Not the whole partition right?

Yes, the entire partition needs to be duplicated to another disk.

So, from Ghost, I can burn an .iso of my whole partition?

Ghost doesn't even need to make an ISO, it can burn straight to CD, but in effect, yes.
Norton Ghost isn't used to it's full potential though with sysprep, imo.
Put your system up as far as possible, with as much apps as you think you need, and ghost that.
Don't mess around with useless microsoft crap that only works halfway (sysprep cannot install)
