Question Regarding Domain Profile
win2k8
Heylo guys,
I just got done watching the profiles section of the CBT Nuggets for 290, and it talked briefly about something called a "Default Domain Profile" which one can put in the Sysvol --> Scripts folder. I understand then that anybody who logs into the domain will be given this profile. However, what i dont understand is will this profile be like a mandatory one, where all changes made by users will be lost when they log off? Since you dont actually go to the user account properties and specify a path for profile. Plus i think its rather impossible for it to sync back to the server, since every person who modifys their desktop will have to sync each time and mess up the profile. It wasnt clear though if the ntuser.dat is renamed to .man for defaul domain profile.
Anyways, when you somebody actually use a default domain profile per say profile based on users and groups?
thanks for you guys advice,
