hey guys I set up a little lab at home with two workstations and a swtch so that I could do some packet sniffing.
every time i set up a port mirror on my 2950 I lose my telnet connection to the swtch and can't get it back up, any ideas what is causing this?

Is your computer connected to the SPAN destination port? By default the destination port won't accept any inbound traffic.The only easy day was yesterday! -

that'll be it then, yeah was telneting over the ethernet, wasn't expecting it to throw me out
