Does A+ Expire?

I just glanced at my 2006 A+ and I see adnotation that "this certification will expire 29 Dec 2009. Why is that/

I checked the FAQ on the CompTIA site and it says that the certifications are lifetime.

I was sure that they are lifetime as well. My project+ doesn't have any dates on it... That's weeeird...

I think they mean they will come up with a new test at that time...so they dont just have the same test for years to come.

It is lifetime though, thats why it costs an arm and a leg.
