VGA to Ethernet Converter
When using a VGA to ethernet converter, does the Cat5 need to be directly connected to each converter, or can it plugged into a wall jack and run through the network (in this case hopping over three switches) to a PC in a seperate building?
I have used these converters before but never to a PC so far away. I am concerned if the switches will auto detect the connection at each end.

Do those adapters have addresses? How is traffic going to make it through the switches?
