does the ccna out do the ccent? in other words if you get a ccent then a ccna the ccna is just a higher cert and over does the ccent. so you wouldnt say you have a ccent if you were ccna certifitied.

You get the CCENT if you pass the first exam ICND1. When you pass the second exam you get the CCNA. If you pass the composite exam you just get the CCNA.

So if you have the CCNA no point really in advertising yourself as CCENT as well. Like having the CCNP you don't have to tell people you have the CCNA since its a prerequisite.

CCENT is one exam that also applies to the CCNA. There are 2 training modules ICND1 and ICND2. The ICND1 course is related to the CCENT exam and both apply to the CCNA exam.

You can opt for a 2 exam route to earn the CCNA (640-822 and 640-816) or you can go for the composite exam (640-802)

So in theory the CCENT is part of the CCNA, but you can't earn a CCNA without the knowledge set of the CCENT even if you take the compsite exam because it's in the exam also.
