Tool to monitor internet usage / network traffic?
Hi Guys,
Just a quick question about a network monitoring tool....
On the network i am currently helping to maintain, we have some users who are using most or all of the bandwidth - and i dont know who it is that is doing it.
Are there any network monitoring tools that will tell me who is on, and accessing the internet and/or how much bandwidth they are using?
I want to start implementing quota's in ISA, but i cant do it across the board.... so i need to know which users are doing it most, so that i can limit their bandwidth usage.
I have looked at the ISA reports - but i was hoping for something 'live' so that if the network is running slow, i can do something about it then and there - not wait till the next day to view the report and make the changes.

Doesn't GFI Software make add-ins for ISA that can do that?All things are possible, only believe. -

FYI, you should be able to generate a report within ISA that could tell you who is using the most of your bandwidth, it just can't get specific on what sites that specific user is going to, etc.Good luck to all!
