a hub question
marine00
If you have ten stations hooked into a hub that is 10mbps would the speed for the stations be 1 mbps or 10 mbps for each station. I seen a study question with that circumstance and I thought it would be 1 mbps for each station because it is sharing the bandwidth, but the answer said it was 10 mbps for each station.
Thanks,
Sunshine

Each device still gets 10mbit ~ but as soon as another device actively uses the hub, their bandwidth will fall depending on how much is used.
I think the question you spoke of was asking if a hub automatically distributed connection speed. It does not.[/img]
